The XC-ESC XC-GL8 is a compact and powerful 140A FOC sensored brushless electronic speed controller designed for 1/7 and 1/8 scale RC crawlers. Developed as part of the XC-ESC GL Series FOC Brushless Crawler Power System range, the XC-GL8 focuses on precise throttle control, strong low-speed torque and smooth power delivery for technical crawling and scale off-road driving.
FOC stands for Field-Oriented Control. This advanced control principle allows the ESC to manage the motor current with high precision, resulting in smooth, linear torque and excellent control at very low speed. For crawler applications, this is a major advantage because the vehicle needs to move with precision over rocks, steep climbs, technical obstacles and slow-speed terrain.
The XC-GL8 is designed for use with sensored brushless crawler motors. By using sensor feedback from the motor, the controller knows the exact rotor position and can deliver power with exceptional accuracy. This provides smooth start-up, predictable throttle response, strong holding power and excellent control when the crawler is moving slowly under load.
Compatible with 3S to 6S LiPo batteries, the XC-GL8 is ideal for high-performance 1/7 and 1/8 crawler setups. Its 140A current rating offers strong performance reserve, while the compact design makes installation practical in crawler chassis where space and clean electronics layout are important.

The integrated BEC offers selectable 6.0V, 7.4V and 8.4V output, with 6A to 14A max current. This provides stable power for receivers and high-performance crawler steering servos.
