ISDT 405AC — Mini AC Smart Charger

The ISDT 405AC is a compact and intelligent AC smart charger designed for RC hobbyists who want a simple, reliable and space-saving charging solution. With its built-in mains power supply, intuitive operation and support for the most common hobby battery types, the 405AC is ideal for everyday charging at home, in the workshop or at the track.

Despite its miniature size, the ISDT 405AC offers a complete set of essential charging functions. It supports NiMH, LiPo, LiHv, ULiHv, LiFe, Li-Ion and Pb batteries, making it suitable for many RC cars, aircraft, boats, transmitters and general hobby battery applications.

The charger is equipped with a built-in 4S lithium battery balancer, helping to charge lithium battery packs safely and accurately. It supports lithium battery packs from 1S to 4S, NiMH batteries from 2 to 12 cells and lead-acid batteries from 2V to 14V.

The 405AC offers three practical operating modes: Charge, Discharge and Storage. Lithium and lead-acid batteries are charged using the constant current / constant voltage method, while NiMH batteries use automatic delta-peak charging termination. Adjustable charging parameters allow users to set the correct charging current, discharge current and end voltage according to the battery type and application.

For modern high-voltage lithium batteries, the charger supports LiHv batteries with a cut-off voltage up to 4.35V per cell and ULiHv batteries with a cut-off voltage up to 4.45V per cell. The lithium end voltage can also be adjusted within the supported range, allowing users to choose charging settings that match their battery requirements.

Operation is simple and clear thanks to the backlit color LCD display and three programming buttons. The display shows the selected mode, battery type, charging parameters and process information, making it easy to monitor the charging status at a glance.

The ISDT 405AC also supports Bluetooth connection via the ISD Link app, allowing users to set, start and monitor charging from a compatible mobile device. Firmware updates can be performed easily via the USB-C port, helping keep the charger up to date.

For safe operation, the charger includes several warning and protection messages, including alerts for incorrect battery type, incorrect voltage and supply voltage issues. A built-in fan provides forced cooling during operation.
