Powerful Dual-Channel Charging for the Workshop and Racetrack
The RC-Plus Cube 200 Duo is a versatile dual-channel AC/DC smart charger designed for RC users who need to charge two batteries efficiently from one compact unit. Both channels can operate simultaneously, making it ideal for preparing multiple battery packs at home, in the workshop or between runs at the track.
Its integrated 100–240V AC power supply provides up to 200W of total charging power without requiring an external power source. For maximum performance, connect the Cube 200 Duo to a suitable 11–26V DC supply and unlock up to 400W of total charging power, with a maximum of 200W available on each channel. Each channel offers an adjustable charging current from 0.1 to 12.0A.
Intelligent Power Distribution
When powered from AC, the Cube 200 Duo offers two different power distribution modes.
Intelligent allocation prioritises the channel that started charging first and directs the available power where it is needed most. Once the first battery is fully charged, the available power is automatically redirected to the second channel.
Equal allocation divides the available power between both channels. This is particularly useful when charging comparable battery packs or when consistent charging conditions are required for evaluating battery performance.
Under DC power, both channels can deliver up to 200W simultaneously, providing a combined maximum charging output of 400W.
Comprehensive Battery Compatibility
The Cube 200 Duo supports the battery chemistries most commonly used throughout the RC hobby. It can charge lithium batteries from 1S to 6S, NiMH and NiCd packs with up to 15 cells, and lead-acid batteries from 2 to 20V.
Dedicated programs are available for LiPo, LiIon, LiFe and LiHV batteries, including Charge, Balance, Storage, Discharge, FB-DIS and Repair modes. The integrated balancer monitors the individual cell voltages and controls the charging process to help achieve a consistent state of charge across the complete battery pack.
NiMH and NiCd users benefit from dedicated Charge, Discharge, Cycle, Re-Peak and FB-DIS programs. Standard and AGM charging programs are also provided for compatible lead-acid batteries.
Efficient High-Power Discharging with FB-DIS
In addition to conventional discharging, the Cube 200 Duo includes an advanced FB-DIS regenerative discharge mode.
Instead of converting the discharged energy entirely into heat, FB-DIS transfers energy from the battery being discharged back to the battery connected to the charger’s DC input. This allows discharge currents of up to 12A per channel and discharge power of up to 200W per channel, depending on the connected batteries and operating conditions.
FB-DIS mode helps shorten discharge and storage preparation times while reducing the thermal load on the charger. It is available when the charger is operated from a suitable battery through the DC input.
Integrated Battery Analysis
The built-in Cell Meter displays the individual voltages of lithium battery cells, together with the total pack voltage and the highest and lowest cell values.
A dedicated internal resistance measurement function provides individual cell resistance values and the total resistance of the battery pack. These measurements are useful for comparing packs, monitoring battery condition and identifying differences between individual cells.
Advanced Workshop Functions
The Cube 200 Duo is much more than a battery charger. Its integrated workshop functions make it a versatile tool for RC maintenance, setup and testing.
The Motor Run function provides an adjustable output for testing and running in compatible DC motors. Voltage, current and operating time can be configured directly through the charger.
In CC/CV Digital Power mode, the charger can operate as an adjustable power supply for compatible electronic devices and workshop equipment. The display provides real-time information about the output voltage, current and power.
The integrated tire-warmer control function can operate compatible optional heating cups. Temperature, heating time and power can be adjusted according to the required tyre preparation. The charger also includes PWM input measurement and PWM output functions for testing compatible servos and other RC equipment through the three-pin connection.
User Memories and Adjustable Safety Settings
Frequently used battery settings can be stored in the charger’s memory. Up to five data sets can be saved for each battery type, including cell count and charge or discharge current. Stored configurations can be recalled when the same battery is used again, reducing setup time and helping prevent input errors.
The Cube 200 Duo also includes adjustable safety settings such as maximum capacity, safety timer, input-voltage protection, temperature cut-off and Delta Peak sensitivity for NiMH and NiCd batteries. Its temperature-controlled cooling fan automatically adjusts its speed according to the internal temperature.
An illuminated front accent gives the Cube 200 Duo a distinctive appearance, while the clear display, channel selector and dedicated control buttons provide straightforward access to both charging channels.
