ISDT BG-8S — Smart Battery Checker, Balancer & Signal Tester

The ISDT BG-8S is a compact and multifunctional smart battery checker designed for RC users, drone pilots and hobbyists who want to check, monitor and maintain their batteries with confidence. More than a simple voltage checker, the BG-8S combines battery measurement, cell balancing, smart battery data reading, USB power output and receiver signal testing in one portable device.

Thanks to support for BattGO / XT60i smart battery technology, the BG-8S can read detailed battery information when connected to a compatible smart battery. Users can view important data such as cell voltage, battery cycle count, working parameters and usage history, making battery management easier and more transparent.

The BG-8S supports multiple connection options, including XT60, XT60i, XH2.54 1–8S balance leads, XH2.54 3-pin and JST-type connections. It can be used to measure a wide range of battery types, including LiHv, LiPo, Li-Ion, LiFe and NiMH/NiCd batteries, as well as BEC output voltage.

With its built-in cell balancing function, the BG-8S helps maintain better cell consistency in lithium battery packs. The automatic balancing algorithm helps bring individual cells closer together, supporting better battery performance and longer battery life. Once balancing is completed, the device can automatically enter power-saving mode.

The ISDT BG-8S can also be used as a portable USB power source. When connected to a suitable battery, it can provide USB output for mobile devices and accessories. It supports Qualcomm QC 2.0 / QC 3.0, BC1.2 and Apple-compatible charging protocols, with a maximum output of 12V / 2A.

For RC applications, the BG-8S also includes receiver signal testing and protocol analysis. Using a standard 3-pin connector, it can measure BEC output voltage and analyze common signal protocols such as PWM, PPM and S.BUS. Additional protocol support may be added through future firmware updates.

The clear 2.4-inch color IPS LCD display provides an easy-to-read overview of battery and signal information. Compact, lightweight and highly practical, the ISDT BG-8S is an essential tool for every RC toolbox.
