Harness the Power of Knowledge with Telemetry!
Gone are the days of one-way communication in the RC world. With Telemetry-capable systems, you can now receive real-time data from your model right on your transmitter. The S.BUS2 Telemetry Link, designed to work with specific Futaba S.BUS2 radios and compatible Castle Creations ESCs, allows you to access crucial information such as battery voltage, motor RPM, and ESC temperature. This data can be displayed on your transmitter screen or trigger alerts when predefined thresholds are exceeded, giving you complete control and awareness during your RC adventures.
But why should you integrate Telemetry into your models? The benefits are significant. Not only does Telemetry enhance the safety of your models by monitoring critical parameters like battery voltage and ESC temperature, but it also opens up new opportunities for more enjoyable flying experiences. Imagine the peace of mind provided by alarms that warn you of an overheating ESC or a rapidly depleting receiver battery. With Telemetry, you can stay ahead of potential issues and avoid unexpected crashes.
Now, let's explore how the Castle Telemetry Link seamlessly integrates into your models. Before diving in, it's crucial to understand the essential compatibility parameters to ensure a successful integration.
By incorporating the Castle Telemetry Link, you gain access to a wealth of information that empowers you to make informed decisions during your RC flights. Stay informed, stay safe, and take your RC experience to new heights with Telemetry.
Note: It's important to consult the user manuals and guidelines provided by Futaba and Castle Creations to ensure proper setup and operation of the Telemetry system. Safety should always be a top priority in RC activities.
Features:
Compatible Castle ESC:
The ESC must have the ability to accept a bi-directional communication protocol that gives it the ability to transmit real-time telemetry feedback. This feature is called Link Live™ and needs to be enabled on compatible ESCs using Castle Link™. Click here to view the Castle ESC Compatibility Chart.
Note: The Telemetry Link will not work if the ESC is programmed for Multirotor or External Governor modes due to the higher PWM frequency.
Compatible Futaba S.BUS2 Radio:
S.BUS2™ extends Futaba S.BUS™ and supports bidirectional communication. Compatible radios will support S.BUS2 protocol. It is also necessary to utilize a compatible Futaba® Telemetry Receiver. Click here to view the Futaba® Radio Compatibility Chart.
Specifications:
Size:
• Circuit board: 1.0" (25.4mm) x 0.44" (11mm)
• Overall dimensions: 5.25" (133mm) x 0.44" (11mm) including wires
• Weight: 0.192 oz (5.44g) without wires
Tech Notes:
• The Telemetry Link will not work if the ESC is programmed for Multirotor or External Governor Mode due to the higher PWM frequency.
• The maximum RPM is limited to 100,000 electrical RPM (Calculated by multiplying mechanical RPM by half of the magnetic poles)
• The Telemetry Link cannot be used in conjunction with the the B-Link Bluetooth adapter.
• When using the new Futaba 7PXR transmitter, you must program the Telemetry Link's Throttle input to "External Input Wire".
• There is currently a bug with the Monster X 8s, Copperhead 10, Micro X2 and Mamba XLX2; it prevents controller temperatures from
being displayed correctly. We have been unable to find the route cause and regretfully are unable to find a solution.
Embrace the power of knowledge and unleash the full potential of your models with Telemetry. Elevate your flying experience with real-time data and take control like never before.
